Sometimes it’s fun to paint papers and sketch, with no preconceived idea of what you want the end result to convey. Along the way, design “problems” arise. As you solve those step by step, colors and composition take shape. They give rise to a story within the piece. The end results here are whimsical, hand-drawn birds, decorated with hand-painted papers, collaged on board painted with acrylic paint.
